Obituary for Emma Jean Redfoot

Emma Jean Redfoot, 89, of 40 Shenango St., Greenville, PA, passed away following a brief illness, at 4:40 pm on Friday, December 21, 2018 at UPMC Horizon, Shenango Valley in Farrell, PA.

She was born in High Bridge, KY on September 28, 1929 to the late Dent and Minnie Belle (George) Hoover.

She was a 1948 graduate of the former Fredonia-Delaware High School and a member of the Greenville Moose Club.

Emma was a homemaker all her life, and enjoyed baking homemade bread, sewing, playing bingo, scratch off tickets and flowers.

She was married to Clair Scott Redfoot on January 31, 1955 and he preceded her in death on December 5, 2016.

Emma is survived by: four sons, Tom Redfoot, George Redfoot, Jesse Redfoot, and Art Redfoot, all of Greenville; four daughters, Donna DelFratte of Greenville, Loretta Mandell and her husband, Jeff, of Mercer, Mary Harnetiaux of Ocala, FL, and Lois Frost of Linesville; eleven grandchildren Scott Redfoot, Andy Frost and his wife, Lisa, Allen Frost, Dana Mandell, Zachary Mandell, Dylan Mandell, Jody Fitzgerald and her husband, Theodore, Jason Exline and his wife, Amanda, Jamie Exline, Justin Exline, and Jerri DelFratte; five great grandchildren, including one on the way; two brothers, Charles Hoover and his wife, Mary, of Greenville, and James "Dewey" Hoover and his wife, Pat, of Florida; a sister, Laura Winner and her husband, Bill, of Manheim, PA; and a sister-in-law, Ruby Hoover of Greenville.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by: five brothers, George, Doris, Tom, Denny, and Brent Hoover; and a half brother, Donald Wright.
